Seville Itineraries
1, 2, and 3 days — built around how the city actually works.
Before you start: Seville is hot. In summer (June-August), peak tourist hours are brutal. Plan any outdoor activity for early morning or after 7 PM. Lunch is 2-4 PM here, not noon. Dinner starts at 9 PM at the earliest. Adjust your schedule accordingly and you'll have a much better time.
1 Day in Seville
You only get one shot — make it count
Real Alcázar & Cathedral
Morning
Book the Real Alcázar for 9:30 AM sharp — first slot of the day, before the tour groups arrive. Spend 90 minutes max if you're tight on time, 2 hours if you can. Skip the Cuarto Real Alto unless you have an extra hour.
Afternoon
Walk directly to the Cathedral & La Giralda (5 minutes on foot). Buy tickets online in advance or you'll queue. Go up the Giralda — it's a ramp, not stairs, and the city views are the best you'll get without paying for a rooftop bar.
Evening
Lunch at El Rinconcillo (the oldest bar in Seville, opened in 1670). Tapas at the bar, standing up, the way it's meant to be done.
Santa Cruz & Triana
Morning
Wander Barrio de Santa Cruz — don't follow a route, just get lost. Every street looks like a postcard. Give it an hour.
Afternoon
Cross the Puente de Isabel II into Triana. Walk along Calle Betis with the river on your right. Coffee at any corner bar — tostada con tomate, €2.50.
Evening
Plaza de España at sunset. It's touristy and it doesn't matter — it's genuinely spectacular. Don't skip it.
Tapas & Wrap Up
Morning
If you booked a flamenco show, tonight's the night. Casa de la Memoria or Casa de la Guitarra — both good, very different vibes.
Afternoon
Dinner in El Arenal, the neighbourhood between the river and the Cathedral. Taberna del Alabardero if you want to spend, Bodeguita Casablanca if you don't.
Evening
Walk along the Guadalquivir after dinner. The city lights on the water. That's Seville doing its thing.
2 Days in Seville
Enough time to get the feel of it
The Historic Core
Morning
Real Alcázar — first slot, 9:30 AM (book weeks in advance in peak season). Spend 2.5-3 hours, including the Cuarto Real Alto if you can get tickets.
Afternoon
Lunch at El Rinconcillo (10 min walk). Then: Seville Cathedral & La Giralda. Climb the tower late afternoon — the light is best then. The shadows across the old city are worth waiting for.
Evening
Walk through Barrio de Santa Cruz as it cools down. Aperitivo in one of the small plaza bars — Plaza de los Venerables or Plaza de Doña Elvira. Dinner: Taberna Coloniales (get there before 9 PM or wait).
Triana, the River & Plaza de España
Morning
Cross the Puente de Isabel II into Triana. Breakfast at any local bar (tostada con tomate + café con leche, €2.50 total). Browse Mercado de Triana — the indoor market by the river, not a tourist trap.
Afternoon
Lunch in Triana. Walk back over the Puente de Triana with views of the Torre del Oro. Head to Plaza de España in the early afternoon — it gets golden light around 4-5 PM in winter, later in summer.
Evening
Flamenco show at Casa de la Memoria (book ahead — it sells out). Dinner afterwards in El Arenal or wherever the day takes you. You've earned it.

Slow Down & Explore
Morning
Slow morning. Wander without a plan — get lost in the streets between Alameda de Hércules and the Cathedral. Alameda for coffee.
Afternoon
Mercado Lonja del Barranco for lunch (or La Azotea). Visit the Metropol Parasol (Las Setas) — weird structure, but the rooftop views over the city are worth it.
Evening
Last tapas crawl. Seville's happy hour is roughly 8-10 PM. Eat where locals eat. You know where that is now.
